Samuel, our third son, was born without breath at 31 weeks in March. His early birth was due to a pregnancy complication, a concealed placental abruption.
Tragically we will never know why our little son's life was taken way too soon. All results have indicated that everything was normal, no abnormalities with Samuel, pathology, placenta, everything, normal. There will never be an answer.
I'm inspired by the work of Stillbirth Foundation Australia as it takes the lead in regards to research and education to prevent stillbirth. The invaluable research that is conducted could prove to save so many babies lives and give answers to parents.
1 in 135 babies will be stillborn, 6 babies every day in Australia will be stillborn. That is how many precious babies lost and families devastated.
The Stillbirth Foundation also works to create awareness and encourage health care professionals to listen to expectant mothers and to look more closely at the signs. This is something I am now extremely passionate about.
I want to support them by raising money as part of my participation in Light a Candle in Memory. I hope that through Samuel's voice and story, I can make a difference.
Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button.
The more people that know about Stillbirth Foundation Australia, the greater their impact.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
